About Sendai Finland Wellbeing Center

Consised by following two facilities;

R&D Unit: New services and products in the field of health and welfare are developed jointly by both Finnish and local companies and universities. Rooms for companies and universities are available in this facility. Conventional product development tends to focus on technology enhancement rather than to meet user's needs. However, the elderly care house in close proximity enables the center to develop competitive products reflecting opinions from the elderly, their families and welfare staffs.

Care Unit: Special Nursing Home for the elderly "Sendan no Yakata". New welfare services are provided to the elderly, adopting Finnish care concept. The elderly care house in FWBC managed by a social welfare cooperation Tohoku Fukushi Corporation (TFC) , affiliated by Tohoku Fukushi University (TFU), focuses on preventive cares based on Finnish welfare concept.
