International Singapore Intergenerational Games 2018 (SING2018)
FWBC participated in the International Singapore Intergenerational Games 2018, SING2018, organized by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. SING is an exergaming event for active seniors and participants practice several exergames developed by NTU for about two months and each group’s representative compete as a country representative. All exergames can play using Kinect so that players can recognize their movement in the game on monitor, and help players to exercise with fun.
This event was introduced to FWBC by Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS). SING started in 2016 as domestic event and NTU made it international for the first time in 2018. FWBC is the first Japanese team to attend the event cooperated with Sendai City Health Welfare Organization. Other teams include; Finland (TUAS), France (E-seniors Association), Taiwan (National Taiwan Sport University).
All sites were connected online and each country’s representative competed the score. The winner was Team Singapore and all participants got excited by international peers.
