Group of Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal visited FWBC: Polymonde Japan 2019

A group of students from Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal visited FWBC as a part of Polymonde Japan 2019 tour. Polymonde is an annual industrial mission graduating engineers to better understand the current global industrial trend and every year they chose different country to visit.

This year, destination was Japan and the group of 22 students and one professor spend 20 days of meetings, learning and discussing with Japanese companies, research organizations, municipalities as well as universities across Japan. In Sendai, they visited the engineering department of Tohoku University for learning robotics and aerospace engineering, and toured several labs where they had active discussion with professors. After that, they divided into two groups and one of them visited FWBC.

FWBC offered a presentation about major activities and explained overview of healthcare system in Japan, with some comparison with Canada. Students were eager to learn and everyone participated in discussion in friendly environment. They also visited briefly the Care Unit, next to our facilities.

We hope that some of this experience would help in their activities in the future.
